AUBURN, AL — IF there is anyone who can possibly empathize with the family of missing Homewood teenager Aniah Blanchard, it is Beth Holloway. The mother of Natalee Holloway — the Mountain Brook teen who went missing in Aruba 14 years ago — has joined the search for Blanchard in Alabama.

Blanchard, 19, has been missing since Oct. 23. She is a student at Southern Union College in Auburn.

Beth Holloway teamed up with Texas EquuSearch on Saturday, according to a Facebook post by the non-profit group.

Blanchard’s mother, Angela Haley-Harris, and her stepfather, UFC fighter Walt Harris, spoke to ABC News last week after meeting Beth Holloway for the first time. “I followed Natalee’s case and I’ve always admired her for her strength -- just thought she was an amazing lady," Haley-Harris told ABC News of Beth Holloway. “She’s an amazing woman and I think she’s going to be a great support for us.”

The primary suspect in the disappearance of 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard was captured by U.S. Marshals in Florida Thursday. Ibraheem Yazeed, 29, was taken into custody off the I-10 Pine Forest Road exit in Escambia County.

Charging documents against Yazeed said he was witnessed "forcing Blanchard into a vehicle against her will and then leaving with her in the vehicle. Blanchard has not been located at this time."
