National Beer Day: Best Beers In Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Saturday, April 7 is National Beer Day, and there are few places in the country to find better craft beer than Birmingham. The Magic City is blessed with a bevy of craft breweries, including Good People Brewing Co., Avondale Brewing, Trim Tab, Ghost Train, Cahaba Brewery and Red Hills.

After compiling lists from publications such as Beer Advocate, Trip Advisor and Southern Living, Patch put together a list of the top 10 beers made in Birmingham. Some of the beers that made some publications' lists were seasonal brews that are not always available, so those were not included on the Patch list:

3. Raspberry Berliner Weisse - Trim Tab Brewery
4. Coffee Oatmeal Stout - Good People Brewing Co.
5. Ryzome Rye Stout - Cahaba Brewing Co.
6. No Koka Moka American Stout - Avondale Brewing Co.
7. Fatso Russian Imperial Stout - Good People Brewing Co.
8. Tessare Double IPA - Trim Tab Brewery
9. Fraxinus Maximus American Double IPA - Cahaba Brewing Co.
10. Pillar to Post Rye - Trim Tab Brewing
