New Director Named For Red Mountain Park
Red Mountain Park has named T.C. McLemore as its new executive director.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Red Mountain Park Commission announce its recent hire of T.C. McLemore as the park's new executive director. McLemore will manage park operations and fundraising for the 1,500-acre Birmingham greenspace.
McLemore has been employed with the Alabama Humanities Foundation, where he directed statewide educational programming. He is a sixth-generation Alabamian, originally from Fort Payne. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from UAB and was the University’s first graduate with honors in Global and Community Leadership. After serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Alabama Possible, he earned a master’s degree in history from UAB receiving the David Hart White Prize in History. McLemore has been involved with Red Mountain Park as a volunteer for years, most recently serving as President of the Park’s Junior Board.

McLemore added, “Red Mountain Park is big place with even bigger goals. I am energized by the fact that I share this great responsibility of stewardship and growth with passionate volunteer leadership and with the greater Birmingham community.”
