October Homicide Suspect Arrested By Birmingham Police
A suspect has been arrested in connection with an Oct. 3 homicide in Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A suspect in an Oct. 3 homicide in Birmingham has been arrested and charged with murder. Birmingham police said Kewaunte Rembert, 24, has been charged in the shooting death of Robert Bloodsaw, III.
Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said Rembert is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.
The shooting occurred in a home at 1713 32nd Place North just after 7 p.m. Oct. 3. Bloodsaw, 36, was found in the living room of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he later died.

Williams said the the shooting was the result of a verbal altercation.
