Pell City Teen Killed In Spring Break Accident

A 15-year-old boy from Pell City was killed when he fell out of a pickup truck while at the Florida Panhandle this week.

WALTON COUNTY, FL - A Pell City teen was killed while in the Florida Panhandle this week when he fell out of a pickup truck and was run over by another motorist. The boy has been identified as 15-year-old Kaden Johnson.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Cary Hurst told Alabama Media Group that Kaden was riding in the back of a pickup truck that was driven by 19-year-old Allion Orlando Hogan of Sylacauga. They were traveling southbound on U.S. 331 and crossing the Clyde B. Wells Bridge over the Choctawhatchee Bay. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Hogan kept driving, as he reportedly did not know Kaden had fallen out of the truck and had been hit, Hurst said. When Hogan got to their destination, he realized Kaden was no longer in the truck bed and went to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office to file a missing person’s report.
