Pharmacy Robbery Suspect In Custody
A 22-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection to robberies of a Walgreens pharmacy and CVS in Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A suspect in the robberies of two Birmingham pharmacies is now in custody. Police confirmed that 22-year-old Reginald Lee Blocker has been identified as the suspect in the robbery of a Walgreens pharmacy and a CVS in the Birmingham area, and was taken into custody by members of the Birmingham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Team.
The first incident happened Monday, Nov. 19, at Walgreens on Clairmont Avenue. A report by Alabama Media Group said the robbery happened at 7:11 p.m. Officers arrived on the scene to find the suspect entered the business and presented a note demanding various items. He left the store with an undetermined amount of drugs.
The CVS robbery occurred Dec. 10 at the pharmacy location on Montclair Road.

Police said Blocker has been charged in a similar robbery in a neighboring city, and court records show other robbery, drug and theft arrests for him in Birmingham, all in 2018. Blocker was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Dec. 27 and remains held without bond.
