Police Arrest Man Who Attempted Downtown Bank Robbery

A man who tried to rob a downtown Birmingham bank Wednesday has been arrested.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A man who tried to rob a First Commercial Bank branch in downtown Birmingham Wednesday has been arrested.

Reports say a security guard was able to detain the suspect until Birmingham Police arrived. Charges are pending.

The identity of the suspect has not been revealed, only that he is a 37-year-old male.
