Police Called To Multiple Shootings In Birmingham Area
Three shootings Wednesday night are under investigation by the Birmingham PD and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - Three shootings in the Birmingham area Wednesday are under investigation. The non-related incidents occurred just a few hours apart, with one of the shootings resulting in a fatality.
Two people were injured in a shooting early Wednesday evening in Birmingham’s Ensley neighborhood, according to an Alabama Media Group report. The victims, a man and a woman, were taken to a local hospital for treatment after the incident at 35th Street Ensley by Avenue N, according to a Birmingham police sergeant at the scene.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries, police said, while the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A second shooting in Ensley occurred just an hour later.Police received a call of shots fired near 51st Street and Avenue Q . The male victim, believed to be in his early 30s, was taken to a local hospital, according to police at the scene. The man was taken to UAB Hospital where he later died.
Thursday morning, police identified the man as 31-year-old Terry Wayne Bonner Jr. He was from Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a call just after 10 p.m. regarding a shooting in a mobile home park on Pinson Valley Parkway. In that case two victims were reportedly confronted by two black males who began shooting at them. The victims were treated for non life threatening injuries.
