Police Investigating Possible Suicide Crash In North Birmingham
A man is dead and a woman is injured after a possible suicide crash in North Birmingham.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A head-on collision in the Inglenook community Monday night left one man dead and a woman hospitalized, and police say the incident may have been a suicide.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, Sgt. Johnny Williams said police areinvestigating the crash as a suicide. The crash happened near the 3600 block of 40th Street North. Williams said the man suffered a gunshot wound at some point during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

What is still unclear is when the gunshot wound occurred, or if the man's death was from the gunshot or from the crash. Williams said the man was driving north on 40th Street North and struck another vehicle head-on, sending a woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
