BIRMINGHAM, AL - Railroad Park Foundation is teaming up with PNC Bank to l launch #BHAMProud, a video contest tasking entrants to show what they love about Birmingham. The contest will run for six months, with new challenges for entries each month. Each of the six winners will receive a prize pack of local treasures valued at $250 each, plus a 2018 Railroad Park membership valued at $82.
“As native Alabamians, our associates here take great pride in working for a Main Street bank focused
not only on providing financial services, but also locally supporting and celebrating the communities we
serve,” said Nick Willis, PNC regional president, Greater Alabama. “(#BHAMProud) gives our residents the
opportunity to add their own stories and to support our growing communities.”

“A privilege of working at Railroad Park is the conversations we get to have with people about why they
love Birmingham,” said Executive Director of Railroad Park Foundation Camille Spratling. “If I talk to 11
people, I hear at least 11 different reasons why Birmingham is great. Through #BHAMProud and with our
friends at PNC, we’re asking people to show us their best Birmingham.”
April’s task is to submit a video time capsule of “your” Birmingham. Explain 2018 Birmingham life to the
people of 2043 Birmingham.
No fancy equipment is required to participate—show something through the lens of your phone or camera
that makes you #BHAMProud. Please limit submissions to a maximum of 2-3 minutes in length in order to
be considered. A new task and prize will be announced each month.
