Ramsay Enters Class 5A Playoffs Ranked No. 1

Ramsay high school is the top-ranked Class 5A football team according to the final ASWA rankings.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Ramsay High School takes its undefeated record and Alabama Sports Writers Association no. 1 ranking into the state playoffs Friday, as the Rams host Lawrence County.

While the Rams were the only Birmingham team that finished the regular season ranked in the ASWA poll, other teams in the city will also play in the first round of the AHSAA playoffs.

Parker travels to East Limestone, Fairfield plays on the road at Rusellville, Minor travels to Oxford and Shades Valley travels to Cullman.
