A 31-year-old woman driving a truck died after colliding with a school bus from Roanoke City Schools Tuesday night.

TALLADEGA COUNTY, AL - A bus carrying 26 students and three coaches from a football game back to Roanoke was involved in a wreck with another vehicle, shutting down Interstate 20 at the Talladega/Lincoln Exit. A 31-year-old female in the other vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene. Eight students and three coaches sustained injuries, but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
The driver of the truck that collided with the bus was identified as Amanda Nicole Hubbard of Munford. Cpl. Jimmy Harrell with ALEA said Wednesday afternoon the pickup truck crossed the median and collided with the school bus. However, the reason Hubbard's truck crossed the median is still under investigation.
NEW: This was a bus from Roanoke City Schools carrying 26 students and 3 coaches home from a football game. Roanoke PD say everyone on board the bus is fine with some bumps and bruises, they've arranged transportation for students back to Roanoke, do NOT try to get them at scene
