Search Continues For Missing Homewood Man
Sid Burgess, who was pastor at Edgewood Presbyterian Church from 1990 through 2013, was last seen at 11 a.m. Saturday in Winston County.

WINSTON COUNTY, AL - A 70-year-old Homewood man has been missing since he left for a hiking trip in Winston County Saturday. Sid Burgess, who was pastor at Edgewood Presbyterian Church from 1990 through 2013, was last seen at 11 a.m. Saturday at White Creek Falls in Double Springs.
The Winston County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook Sunday that Burgess’s vehicle was found at Randolph Trailhead where he was supposed to be doing a day hike. Burgess is reportedly an avid hiker.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 205-489-2115.
