Search Warrant Leads To Jefferson County Drug Arrest

During a search, Jefferson County Sheriff's detectives seized 10g of Ecstasy, 19.46g of marijuana, a 9mm handgun and drug paraphernalia.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A search warrant in the 4800 block of Avenue North in Birmingham led to an arrest by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Thursday. The search also resulted in the seizure of 10 grams of ecstasy, 19.46 grams of marijuana, a 9mm handgun and drug paraphernalia.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said 41-year-old Lloyd Vernon Bradford was charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

Money said Bradford had other drug charges pending at the time of his arrest. His bonds for both new and pending charges total $91,300.
