Hail, Damaging Winds Possible In Birmingham Metro
There is a marginal risk for severe weather across central Alabama Thursday.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - Large hail and damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour are possible in central Alabama on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS said there is a marginal risk of severe weather. Forecasters say the strongest storms are expected as early as noon on Thursday and may continue until 11 p.m.
Starting around Friday afternoon, forecasters are warning that the heat index could be as high as 105 degrees. A heat index of between 100 and 105 degrees is possible starting Friday afternoon through Sunday.
