Shake Shack Opening At The Summit
Birmingham is finally getting a Shake Shack restaurant, as the company announced plans to open a store in the Summit.
BIRMINGHAM, Al - A much-anticipated addition to the Birmingham food community is coming soon, according to reports. New York-based chain Shake Shack announced it will open a location in The Summit, which will be the first Shake Shack in Alabama. The store is expected to open by the end of the summer.
“We’re proud to bring our first Alabama Shack to Birmingham, a city with such distinct culture and charm,” said Randy Garutti, Shake Shack CEO, in a press release. “We’re eager to join Birmingham’s flourishing culinary scene and offer the community a great place to grab a burger and gather with family and friends.”
Shake Shack is known for Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and flat-top Vienna beef dogs, spun-fresh frozen custard, crinkle cut fries, and craft beer and wine.
The Birmingham restaurant will take 3,520 square feet at The Summit, and will be built with green architecture and eco-friendly construction, according to information from Shake Shack.
