Sheriff's Detectives Investigating Illegal Gambling Operation

FULTONDALE, AL - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating an illegal gambling operation in Fultondale. After receiving a tip, detectives launched a two-week investigation into an illegal gambling operation, and Wednesday night detectives executed a search warrant at an address in the 1600 block of K C Dement Road where a business was operating illegal gambling devices.

As a result of the search warrant, 34 illegal gambling devices, cash and gambling records were seized. The investigation is ongoing. When completed the case will be presented to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Arrests are expected.
