Sheriff's Office Identifies Homicide Victim
Sheriff's deputies have identified the 22-year-old victim found shot to death in a western Jefferson County home.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The victim of a homicide in western Jefferson County yesterday afternoon has been identified as 22-year-old Austin Lee Nunn of Sayre.
Just after 2:15 yesterday afternoon Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 4200 block of Levine Avenue to conduct a death investigation. It was reported that a man had been beaten at the home and was unresponsive.
They arrived to find Nunn suffering from several apparent stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The wounds were initially believed to be stab wounds, however, the medical examiner determined them to be gunshot wounds.
