Shooting Claims Life Of 25-Year-Old Birmingham Man
A 25-year-old Birmingham man was killed in a shooting Sunday in west Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting in west Birmingham Sunday claimed the life of a 25-year-old man. The shooting occurred around noon in the 100 block of 2nd Court West, police said.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin said officers were called to Princeton Hospital after 25-year-old Lamorn Wilkerson-Hubbard arrived there with gunshot wounds. Shortly after his arrival, Wilkerson-Hubbard was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
Mauldin said the victim and the suspect were engaged in a conversation prior to the suspect shooting the victim. The suspect was later taken into custody, Mauldin said.
