Shooting In Fairfield Leaves 1 Injured
A man walking on Valley Road in Fairfield was shot and injured Thursday night.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man was injured in a shooting Thursday night in Fairfield. Reports say the victim and another man were walking on Valley Road just after 10 p.m. when they were confronted by a man in a vehicle who shot at them.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the two men were walking to the Citgo Station on Valley Road when a man inan SUV drove up and confronted them. Money said the driver of the SUV, an unknown black male, fired shots at the two men, hitting one of them in the arm.
The two men ran into the Citgo Station for help, and the victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, Money said.

Detectives are continuing with the investigation and no suspects are in custody.
