Shooting In Lipscomb: 23-Year-Old Victim Dies In Hospital
A man found with gunshot wounds after a shooting in Lipscomb Monday night succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A 23-year-old man is dead dafter a shooting in Lipscomb Monday night. The victim was found wounded and taken to an area hospital where he died hours later.
Deputy Chief David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's office said the shooting occurred in the 6100 block of Avenue H in Lipscomb. "Deputies arrived and found a man in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound," Agee said. "First responders rendered medical aid and transported the man to the hospital with critical injuries."
The victim, 23-year-old Derrico Harris, died at the hospital.

Agee said witnesses reported hearing gunshots shortly before the victim’s car was observed parked in an unusual position. Sheriff’s detectives and evidence technicians responded to process the scene.
