Shoplifting Suspect Leads Police Through Chase Into Woods
A woman accused of shoplifting at a Walmart in Hueytown led police through a chase into some nearby woods, holding her young child.
HUEYTOWN, AL — A woman accused of shoplifting at a Walmart in Hueytown was chased by police into some nearby woods. The suspects reportedly had her young child in tow while fleeing police.
A report by Alabama Media Group said the woman – later identified as 26-year-old Antwonnetta Shanqueezse White – was spotted stealing a felony amount of items from the store just after 10 p.m. Thursday.
White reportedly fled into some nearby woods after being confronted about the theft, and took her 3-year-old son into the woods with her. Jefferson County sheriff’s tracking dogs were brought in to help ensure the safety of the child. White was found approximately an hour later.

White is charged with child abuse, second-degree theft and attempting to elude. She will be transferred from the Hueytown City Jail to the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $22,500.
