Student Brandishes BB Gun To Motorist On Way To Homewood HS

A Homewood High School student was questioned by school officials after a report that he brandished a gun at a motorist en route to school.

HOMEWOOD, AL — A Homewood High School student admitted to showing a BB gun to a fellow motorist while on his way to school Friday morning, school officials say. The incident occurred on Lakeshore Drive near the Zimmerman Bridge.

According to a WNRC report, a motorist called the school this morning and reported a driver speeding down Lakeshore Drive. The person said they caught up to the driver and told the driver to slow down. At that point, the motorist said, the driver of the other vehicle showed a gun and drove away toward Zimmerman Bridge.

A description of the car linked the HHS School Resource Officer with a student, who then admitted to being involved and also admitted showing a BB gun to the motorist who called in the complaint.
