Suspect Charged In Murder Of Church Deacon
A young man has been charged in the November shooting death of 54-year-old Sylvester Poole in Ensley.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A Birmingham man has been arrested and charged with the murder of church pastor Sylvestor Poole of Ensley. Brahnsen Tray Burton, 20, has been charged with capitol murder and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
According to a report from Alabama Media Group, the shooting happened about 3 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the 1500 block of Avenue F in Ensley. Poole was pronounced dead on the scene in his truck. The vehicle was still running when officers arrived on the scene. Investigators on Thursday said they not longer believe the two men were acquainted, although that was the initial theory.
Burton is being held without bond.
