BIRMINGHAM, AL - UAB officials, after asking that anyone on campus shelter in place after a high-speed chase ended at the UAB Collat School of Business building, have issued an "all clear" update - confirming the suspect reportedly is no longer on campus.
A report said the suspect was being chased by law enforcement on I-65 and was spotted holding a beer in his hand while driving. Speeds reportedly reached up to 130 MPH in the chase. The suspect crashed into the business building before fleeing north through a construction area.
A report by UAB said the suspect is wearing blue jeans and a black shirt and hat. Campus police said to call 934-3535 if you see anything suspicious.
