Suspects In Custody After 4-Hour Standoff With Police
A man and woman finally surrendered to Birmingham police after a standoff in Roebuck that lasted nearly four hours.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A man and woman who engaged in a standoff with police for fourt hours in Roebuck have now turned themselves over to law enforcement. Birmingham police and U.S. Marshals responded to the scene about 2:30 p.m. in search of two suspects in the 100 block of 93rd Street North in Roebuck.
Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams told Alabama Media Group they believed they heard shots fired inside the home and called in Birmingham police to secure the scene. Birmingham's SWAT team and patrol officers set up a perimeter and tried to negotiate with the people inside the house.
