BIRMINGHAM, AL - Four suspects have been arrested this week in connection with a February shooting at Birmingham's McAlpine Park that left a 17-year-old victim dead.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, 18-year-old Jakia Martin and Tremon Demarco Flemming, Antonio Wydaron Wagner and Erion Markese Johnson, all 17, were indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury in the Feb. 2 slaying of 17-year-old Michael Lee. Court records show all were arrested on a charge of manslaughter on Tuesday.
According to the indictments, the suspects killed Lee by shooting him with a pistol "due to sudden heat of passion caused by provocation recognized by law and before a reasonable time for the passion to cool and for reason to reassert itself."
