Pinson Valley HS Teacher Charged For Inappropriate Sexual Contact With Student

A Pinson Valley teacher has been taken into custody for an inappropriate relationship with a student.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A teacher from Pinson Valley High School has been taken into custody and charged with inappropriate sexual conduct with one of his students.

Just after school began Friday morning the female victim went to the principal and disclosed that she had been having sexual contact with the 30-year-old teacher. The principal contacted the School Resource Deputy who took the initial report and requested a youth services detective come to the school. The victim reported that the contact began just after the start of the school year and had continued since.

The teacher, 30-year-old Joseph Allan Farmer was questioned by detectives and admitted to an inappropriate sexual relationship with the victim.
