Teen Charged In Fairfield Shooting Death
A 19-year-old has been charged in the shooting death of one of his best friends.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A 19-year-old male has been charged in the Sunday night shooting death of one of his best friends. Xavier Thompson was charged Monday in the death of 19-year-old Ladarius De’Juan Whiteside.
A report by Alabama Media Group said the shooting occurred just before midnight Sunday, and that police reported that some teens were playing with guns when Thompson accidentally shot Whiteside in the head. There were multiple people in the home at the time.

Manslaughter is a Class B felony. Thompson was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 5 p.m. with bond set at $30,000.
