Teen Dead After Shots Fired On Elton B. Stephens Expressway
A Birmingham teen was killed Saturday, July 28, on Elton B. Stephens Expressway.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - An 18-year-old recent Huffman High School graduate was shot and killed on Elton B. Stephen Expressway in downtown Birmingham over the weekend.
A report by Alabama Media Group said police and firefighters responded to the scene about 2:15 p.m. Saturday at First Avenue North and Carraway Boulevard, where they found Herman Gordon in his car with a gun shot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said they believe Gordon's murder was intentional, and not random or the result of road rage of any kind. Investigators do not a description of the suspect vehicle yet, and don't know how many people were inside the vehicle.
Gordon is Birmingham's 62nd homicide victim in 2018 and the 94th in all of Jefferson County, including the 62 in Birmingham.
