Teen Killed In Ensley Shooting

A 19-year-old was shot and killed in Ensley Friday night, and police have a person of interest in custody.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police have a person of interest in custody after a fatal shooting in Ensley Friday night.

The shooting occurred just before 6 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of Avenue Z. Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham police department said officers arrived on the scene to find 19-year-old Marquise Nunn suffering from gunshot wounds. Nunn was taken to UAB Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Fitzgerald said officers found a person of interest on the scene of the shooting and have this person in custody.
