Three Injured in Two Separate Hit-And-Run Incidents

Two separate hit-and-run incidents caused injuries to two adults and one child between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Two hit-and-run incidents occurring less than 12 hours apart have left two adults and one child injured. The incidents, which police say are likely not related happened between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

A report by Alabama Media Group said the first incident happened at 31st Street and Ensley Avenue where a woman and her child were struck by a vehicle. Birmingham PD Sgt. Bryan Shelton said their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

The second incident happened in the 2600 block of Green Springs Highway around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. According to Shelton, a Hispanic man was hit by a car, and the car fled the scene. His injuries are considered life-threatening.
