Three Killings In Three Hours Friday Night In Birmingham
Three separate and unrelated shootings in Birmingham resulted in three deaths in a span of three hours Friday night.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Three people died from gunshot wounds in three different locations in a span of only three hours Friday night in Birmingham.
According to a report by Alabama Media Group, police responded about 10:30 p.m. Friday night to a report of a man lying in the alley near 28th Street and Francis Avenue Southwest. Officers found a black male in his early to mid-20s fatally shot in the roadway.
Approximately 45 minutes later, a man in his 30s was found shot in a driveway in the 5400 block of Park Avenue Southwest. Medics responded and tried to revive the man, but their efforts were unsuccessful, Police don't know what led to either of the Friday-night shootings but said they did not initially appear to be linked.

At about 1:15 a.m., Birmingham police said the victim, a black male in his early 20s, was shot while in a vehicle in the 500 block of Valley Avenue. In this incident, there were conflicting reports as to whether the shooter fired from another vehicle, or got out and opened fire on the victim.
The shooting happened across the street from a busy nightclub. Dozens of club-goers watched the ongoing investigation, but only a few say they had heard the gunfire. Evidence technicians marked 24 shell casings in a parking lot next to Fox Valley, and two more on Valley Avenue.

These three shootings make a total of six shooting deaths in the last week in Birmingham.
