Truck Crashes In Pratt City; Driver Pronounced Dead On Scene

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The driver of a truck that ran off a road in Birmingham's Pratt City neighborhood was pronounced dead on the scene of the Thursday afternoon crash.

First responders reported to Dugan Avenue and Columbia Street shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. Once there, they found a truck down an embankment and overturned.

According to an Alabama Media Group report, the truck ended up about 20 yards off the roadway, and the victim had to be extricated by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service with a heavy rescue apparatus at the crash site.

The victim has not been identified.
