TUSCALOOSA, AL — As if pairing the no. 1 and no. 2 teams in the country did not already have millions of eyes on Tuscaloosa this weekend, an announcement Monday by Pres. Donald Trump has made the profile of the University of Alabama's game against LSU even higher.

A report by Sports Illustrated said Trump plans to attend the game Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Although the university has not confirmed Trump's visit, CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins confirmed the report by noting that President Trump is "expected" to be in attendance.

Trump has chosen the last couple of weeks as a sports tour of sorts, as he attended Game 5 of the World Series in Washington. D.C., and also attended UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden this past Saturday.

In both instances, many fans in attendance were heard booing the president as he was announced, but whether or not the Alabama or LSU fan bases will be as hostile remains to be seen.

The game kicks off at 2:30 p.m., and ESPN's College Gameday will be on campus throughout the day, which might have played into the president's decision to attend the game.
