Two Alabama Schools Make Forbes Top 200 Colleges List
A couple of Alabama colleges were listed among the top 200 in the country in a Forbes study.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — New college rankings from Forbes Magazine name 650 schools, including some in Alabama that it says are the among the 200 best in the country for 2019.
Names like Harvard, Stanford and Yale predictably topped Forbes’ list. The magazine says that whether a school ranks among the top 10 or is closer to the bottom, the institutions “count as the best in the country.” Forbes’ annual rankings looks at colleges that “deliver the top academics, career success and lowest debt.”

- Samford University, No. 168
- University of Alabama, No. 262
- University of Alabama at Birmingham, No. 456
- Birmingham-Southern College, No. 463
The top 10 colleges on Forbes’ list are:
- Harvard University
- Stanford University
- Yale University
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Princeton University
- University of Pennsylvania
- Brown University
- California Institute of Technology
- Duke University
- Dartmouth College
