Two New Restaurants Open In 5 Points South
Two new eateries in the Five Points South business district open their doors this week.
BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Five Points South district of Birmingham will get two new restaurants this week. D's Tamales Restaurant & Bar and Brennan's Irish Pub are the latest additions to the popular nightspot in the Magic City.
According to a report from the Birmingham Business Journal, D's Tamales Restaurant & Bar opens Wednesday. It is located at 2012 Magnolia Ave., Suite R1, in Pickwick in the space behind and downstairs from Black Market Bar & Grill. Brennan's Irish Pub will open at 1108 20th St. S. in the former Red Zone Sports Bar space.
Five Points South has seen significant turnover in recent years in its restaurant scene. Home to mainstays Highland's Bar & Grill, Surin and Golden Temple, Five Points has seen several restaurants close in the last year, and even more have come and gone in the last five years.
