Two Victims Identified In Separate Birmingham Homicides
A man and a woman died in separate and unrelated homicides in the last few days in Birmingham.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two people were killed in unrelated homicides in Birmingham, one Friday and the other Monday evening. Monday's slaying was the 61st homicide in Birmingham in 2019.
Jerry B. Robinson, 46, was killed in Wylam Monday night. A woman found dead by railroad tracks Friday in east Birmingham is identified as Heather Suzan Roberson, 23, of Eastaboga, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
An Alabama Media Group report said officers from the West Precinct were dispatched to the 600 block of Gulfport Street around 8:42 p.m. Monday following a call of shots fired in the area. Once on the scene, they found Robinson unresponsive from a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead by Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service at 9:08 p.m.

In Friday’s homicide, Roberson was found dead 7:15 a.m. in 700 block of Antwerp Avenue. The discovery was made in a grassy area near railroad tracks. Few details have been released about her death, but coroner officials said she, too, had been shot and was identified through fingerprints.
