Join UAB’s Institute for Human Rights for a Zoom Live discussion on mass incarceration policy in Alabama. The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Institute for Human Rights, Lister Hill Center for Health Policy and Office of Public Health Practice will host a virtual seminar, “Mass Incarceration: Policy Landscape in Alabama,” at noon Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Katie Glenn of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Dillon Nettles of the American Civil Liberties Union will lead the workshop. Glenn will discuss the local mass incarceration policy, its impact on race relations and the implications for human rights.
