UAB Offering New Tailgating Experience For 2018 Football Season

BIRMINGHAM, AL - UAB Athletics has partnered with full-service tailgate provider Gameday Done Right to offer turnkey and affordable tailgate opportunities for the 2018 football season.

Gameday Done Right will manage Lot L as a designated reserved tailgate area and provide everything from tailgate equipment setup and breakdown to onsite customer service. UAB Football fans can choose from four tailgate packages and options for HDTV and satellite service plus catering and parking options.

“Gameday Done Right is perfect for groups of all sizes and can be customized to fit your needs on a single game or season basis,” said Erin Kraebber, associate athletic director for marketing. “This will be perfect for alumni groups, academic departments, campus units and more.”

GDR tailgating options do not apply to student tailgating; the student tailgating area will remain on the southwest corner of Legion Field and include 50 complimentary spaces for student tailgates. Blazer Village will continue to offer deluxe tailgate accommodations for corporate entertainment and UAB organizations.

Predicted to finish the 2017 season last in Conference USA, UAB finished 2017 with the best record in its program's history and a bid to the Bahamas Bowl, thanks in part to an undefeated home record, and record-breaking attendance numbers. To think that the University of Alabama Board of Trustees terminated the program after the 2014 season, UAB's success in 2017 became one of the best sports stories of the year.
