The UAB PRCA/PRSSA chapter is advised by Jacquelyn S. Shaia, J.D., Ph.D., an assistant professor in UAB’s Department of Communication Studies.

“These awards are judged by out-of-state practicing public relations professionals” Shaia said. “The students’ hard work is readily recognized by other public relations professionals in the field as examples of discipline, competency and achievement. I am very, very proud of this chapter and these students.”
