UAB's Meadow Classroom To Open At Red Mountain Park Sept. 25
UAB will finally opened its long-awaited Meadow Classroom at Birmingham's Red Mountain Park next week.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - A long awaited project and partnership between the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Red Mountain Park is finally complete, and will open next week. UAB's Meadow Classroom, which is located on a restored meadow accessed via a 30-minute hike through Red Mountain Pasrk will open Sept. 25. The project involved more than 2,000 hours of work by volunteers and two years of planning.
The outdoor classroom was made possible by volunteers from several UAB organizations, including the schools of Public Heath and Nursing, the schools Anthropology Department and the National Alumni Association. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be help Monday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. On hand to celebrate the opening of the new classroom will be UAB Provost Pam Benoit, along with UAB and Red Mountain Park supporters.
