Uber Eats Launches In Birmingham
More than 40 restaurants in Birmingham will participate in the app-based food delivery service.

More than 40 restaurants in the Birmingham area have signed on to participate in the service, which launched Tuesday. The app - separate from the Uber app for ride-sharing - is free to download. Restaurants charge the customer the cost of the meal (as advertised in the app) plus a charge for delivery which is $4.99. The restaurant's delivery charge will be shown on a separate line at the checkout, so customers always know how much they are being charged before they order.
