University Of Alabama At Birmingham Announces Faculty And Staff Town Hall On August 17

The town hall will run from 10-11 a.m. in the University Hall Auditorium, with both in-person and virtual components.

On Aug. 17, the University of Alabama at Birmingham will host an interactive town hall regarding the upcoming fall semester.

UAB President Ray L. Watts and Provost Pam Benoit, along with other key university leaders and subject matter experts, will provide the latest updates and answer questions related to UAB’s vaccination efforts and operational plans, updates on remote work, and information about the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus.

The town hall will run from 10-11 a.m. in the University Hall Auditorium, with both in-person and virtual components. There is capacity for 150 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis via pre-registration, and masks must be worn by those in attendance. Those joining virtually will be able to join via YouTube web stream by registering here.

Faculty and staff attending virtually can pre-submit questions to be asked here by Friday, Aug. 13. Leadership will also answer questions live by attendees.

UAB employee appreciation event postponed

The UAB Employee Appreciation event scheduled for Aug. 17 on the Campus Green has been postponed indefinitely as UAB adjusts safety precautions to combat Delta variant spread.
