VIDEO: Doug Jones Says Men Who Hurt Little Girls Should Be Jailed

Doug Jones, who has avoided delving too much into his opponent's sexual misconduct accusations for the most part, addressed them Tuesday.

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Democratoc Senate candidate Doug Jones continued on the campaign trail Tuesday, speaking in Birmingham to supporters. Jones said he has remained focused on issues facing the state, and has tried not to shift too much focus to the allegations of sexual misconduct against his opponent, Roy Moore.

“I want to go to Washington to address the issues that every day Alabamians are facing and to fix the institutions that our vital to our health and our economy," Jones said. "“When I talk about kitchen table issues, I mean the challenges that we deal with each and every day.”

Jones said he believes Moore would be "bad for business in Alabama, bad for the economy, and bad for our country.”

Jones did, however address the allegations against Moore's sexual misconduct with underage girls. He said he did his part as a prosecutor to ensure that "men who hurt little girls should go to jail and not the United States Senate."
