Weather Advisory Issued For Jefferson County

BIRMINGHAM, AL - As thunder rumbles through the Birmingham metro, the National Weather Service has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Central Jefferson County for Wednesday afternoon. The storm, which is slow moving, will bring winds up to 40 mph, according the the NWS.

Heavy rainfall is expected with this storm which could also cause flooding. As well, the NWS warns of frequent cloud-to-ground lightning accompanying this storm.
