Wendy's On Valley Avenue Robbed, Police Seek Suspect
Birmingham police are seeking a suspect in the Monday robbery of the Wendy's restaurant on Valley Avenue.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police are seeking a suspect in the robbery of a Wendy's restaurant on Valley Avenue Monday. The incident occurred just after 10 a.m.
Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said the suspect entered the restaurant at 345 Valley Avenue and placed an order. When he was supposedly reaching for his wallet to pay, he brandished a gun, Williams said.
The suspect managed to get money from the register before fleeing on foot behind neighboring businesses, police said.

The suspect wore a red and gray University of Alabama toboggan and a red Alabama jacket which was later located behind a neighboring business. There were no injuries during the robbery.
