West Birmingham Murder Suspect In Custody
Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of Travers Wages.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A shooting Jan. 30 resulted in the death of 21-year-old Travers Wages nearly two weeks after the incident, and prompted a homicide investigation. Friday, police arrested a man and charged him with Wages' murder.
Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said 44-year-old Lathedrick Miles of Birmingham was arrested Friday and charged with murder.
Williams said Wages was found at 2:30 a.m. at 2726 Pearson Avenue Southwest suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue reported to the scene and transported Wages to UAB Hospital for treatment where he died Feb. 12.

Miles is being held in Jefferson County Jail.
