West Birmingham Shooting Claims Life Of 30-Year-Old Victim

Birmingham police are investigating a Wednesday night homicide on Cedar Avenue SW.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police are investigating a homicide in west Birmingham Wednesday night. The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. at a residence at 1705 Cedar Avenue SW.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said officers found the victim, 30-year-old Marvie Brown of Birmingham, lying in the driveway unconscious when they arrived. Brown was pronounced dead on the scene.

victim being shot multiple times. The suspects fled the scene on foot, Mauldin said.

No arrests have been made and a motive has not been determined.
