Want something to do after the big Thanksgiving festivities? There is plenty on the calendar in Birmingham this weekend.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — After a whole day with family celebrating Thanksgiving, perhaps it might be good to get out an about in the city. Luckily, for those who want something to do other than watch football and let their turkey settle, there are a handful of events happening in and around Birmingham this weekend.
Friday, November 29
Early James & The Latest; Saturn Birmingham, 8 p.m.: Drawing their influences from Hank Williams to Miles Davis this raw combination of James Mullis and Adrian Marmolejo is a musical meltdown that draws from the rich lyrical content of the South.

WWE Smackdown Live; BJCC, 7 p.m.: Featured wrestling superstars Roman Reigns, Kofi Kingston, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, King Corbin and more come to the BJCC for a wresting extravaganza.
Rumours; Iron City, Birmingham; 8 p.m.: Come see this Fleetwood Mac tribute band from Atlanta play your favorite Fleetwood Mac tunes live at Iron City.

Sensory Inclusive ZooLight Safari; Birmingham Zoo, 6-8 p.m.: Watch as the Zoo comes alive for holiday-centric fun at the very first Sensory Inclusive ZooLight Safari! Be amazed by over one million lights, listen to holiday music and delight in festive snowfalls every night.
Great Southern Gun & Knife Show; BJCC, Sat.-Sun. 9 a.m.: Come see the hundreds of tables full of new and old guns, knives, ammo, gun parts, reloading supplies, holsters and other related products.
Eat Drink & Ride Tour; Brookwood Village, 6 p.m.: Passengers will board a Party Bus and sample small brunch bites from 5 restaurants in metro Birmingham during a 4 hour food tour.
Sunday, Dec. 1
The Rainbow Fish; Alys Stephens Center, 4 p.m.: Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s elegant new show, “The Rainbow Fish,” will include an original stage adaptation of Marcus Pfister’s colorful story as well two of the author’s companion tales, “Rainbow Fish Discovers the Deep Sea and Opposites.”
